W. Robert “Bob” Chapman is a North Carolina radio host, ready for performing
classical singer, Unitarian Universalist church historian, and Vintage Dancer. His many other interests and skills include a “previous life” as a music and reference librarian, a newspaper writer and copy editor, a genealogist, and memberships on several non-profit arts and foundation boards. When not doing his radio shows on WCPE, Bob substitute teaches at a couple of schools or volunteers at a local-history library.

Known to family and friends as “the Chaplocks,” Bob and his wife Mary Lovelock live in a circa 1888 Victorian cottage in Historic Oakwood near downtown Raleigh.  They love this neighborhood, with its tree-shaded sidewalks, friendly front-porch culture, monthly pot-luck suppers, and annual Candlelight Tour of historic homes.

The Chaplocks moved to The Triangle from Hartford,
Connecticut in 2007. Until recently, they shared their home
with Miss Winky, a lovable one-eyed mutt.
